What do you need to know about free software?

I have tried to use the above unit and software to transfer VHS tapes to pc and on to DVD.

I cannot get this unit and software to work at all. It doesn't recognize my Manhattan Plaza HDR S satellite receiver with pvr built-in. Pokemon nds roms emuparadise.

I connect with the EasyCap usb video capture device:- scart plug- red/white/yellow RCA plugs to RCA sockets and EasyCap USB unit.

I've tried both scart outs from the Manhattan, no difference.

The EasyCap usb video capture device is listed in Device Manager as working.

Sent an email to Honestech describing this problem and they say check it out with EasyCap (Honestech software is bundled with the EasyCap) and they told me to contact EasyCap. No help from there at all.

Has anybody an experience with this equipment? Is it a waste of time (cost about €15)?

If it is a waste of time, what would be recommended for copying as described above?

Grateful for any help or suggestions.
